Summary

As a volunteer at the Language Café, you guide a group of participants in having conversations in Dutch.

Detailed description

Would you like to make contact and help others learn to speak Dutch better? Become a language volunteer now!

At the Dutch language café, participants talk to each other every Wednesday evening from 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM to practice the Dutch language. Anyone who wants to learn Dutch is welcome.

What are you going to do?

As a volunteer at the Language Café, you help participants practice the Dutch language (weekly or biweekly, based on your preference). Every meeting we talk about a theme, for example professions, health, or food and drinks. We discuss this using simple questions, images and listening fragments.

As a volunteer you guide a group of 5-8 people. During the evening you will be together with other volunteers - which is nice and convenient if you want to have a discussion.

What are you taking with you?

You are well versed in the Dutch language. You are patient, friendly and culturally sensitive. You are creative in coming up with exercises and can improvise well.

What do we have to offer you?

  • An inspiring working environment with a heart for society.
  • A volunteer task that gives great satisfaction.
  • A nice team to work with.
  • Participation in a language coaching training and various webinars.

Working time:

Weekly or biweekly on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. In addition, there are team meetings with all volunteers four times a year.
