Together with a newcomer who is having difficulty learning the language, sorting and pricing sports and games equipment at Emmaus.

What are you going to do?

At Emmaus, you'll work with a newcomer to the community to sort, price, and put away incoming sports and games items. He's been working at Emmaus for nine months, but he's not yet fully capable of doing the work independently. The last two and a half months will also focus on him being able to continue his volunteer work independently without a buddy.

You are the bridge between Emmaus and him. With patience and dedication, you make the goal clear. It's about having fun volunteering together.

The gentleman isn't learning the language easily. He goes to school three times a week for Dutch lessons.

When?

The work is on Thursday mornings from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The current partner wants to finish due to other commitments. It would be great if you could start in the second half of February so he can train you. However, a later start is also possible upon agreement. The program runs until the end of April.

Who are we looking for?

Are you incredibly patient? Are you creative in helping others with language? Can you truly connect with others? And are you enthusiastic about working together in a thrift store? Then this is for you!
