Summary

Do you enjoy ensuring that residents of the AZC participate in Wageningen? Then become a #participatedeskvolunteer!

Detailed description

Every Monday from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM you and a colleague will run the #participatedesk. This allows asylum seekers to participate in Wageningen society from day 1. By doing volunteer work, but also through social activities such as sports and coffee mornings in the city. They can also participate in language lessons to immediately learn Dutch.

What are you going to do?

At the #participation desk you will speak to residents of the AZC every week, explain to them which activities they can register for and work with the resident to see what is most suitable for them. You do this in a team of volunteers who speak different languages and live at the AZC. You then process the registration in Excel.

Working hours:

Monday from 3:15 PM to 5:15 PM.

What we ask?

You can work culturally sensitively, you speak English and you can deal with a dynamic working environment. You can work independently. You will also participate in a six-weekly team meeting in advance at the #participatedesk on Monday afternoon.

What do we offer you?

A varied workplace in which you work independently. You will be properly trained. You can ask your questions to the project leader. There is a 6-weekly team meeting where you can have your input. Twice a year we have a nice meeting to thank you and to meet other volunteers.
