Summary
Do you enjoy making sure that residents of the AZC participate in Wageningen? Then become a #meedoenbalievrijwilliger!Detailed description
Every Monday from 14:30 to 16:00 you and a colleague will run the #meedoenbalie. This allows asylum seekers to participate in Wageningen society from day 1. By doing volunteer work, but also through social activities such as sports and coffee mornings in the city. They can also participate in language lessons to learn Dutch right away.
What are you going to do?
At the #meedoenbalie you speak to residents of the AZC every week, explain to them which (volunteer) activities they can register for and you look together with the resident at what is most suitable for them.
You do this in a team of volunteers who speak different languages and live at the asylum seekers' centre.
You often go around the asylum seekers' centre together with a resident to motivate people to participate.
You also help residents register via the website: ikdoemee.nl
Working hours:
Monday from 2:15 PM to 4:15 PM.
What do we ask?
You can work in a culturally sensitive way, you speak English and you can deal with a dynamic work environment. You can work independently. In addition, you participate in a 6-weekly team meeting before or after the #meedoenbalie on Monday afternoon.
What do we offer you?
A varied workplace in which you work independently. You will be trained well. You can ask the project coordinator your questions. There is a team meeting every 6 weeks where you can have your input. Twice a year we have a nice gathering to thank you and to meet other volunteers.
