Do you love a balanced budget? Become Treasurer of Wageningen Inclusief and help create a Wageningen where everyone can participate.
Wageningen Inclusief is a volunteer organization of residents with or without disabilities. We work towards a city without barriers. We walk through the city with Wageningen Explorers, review designs for streets and squares, advise the municipality, and have a manifesto: "Make accessibility the norm". We are growing and becoming a foundation. Therefore, we are looking for a treasurer for our board.
As treasurer:
you keep the accounts and always know how much is in the pot;
send your invoices and pay your bills and volunteer allowances;
you prepare a budget together with the board and the annual accounts at the end of the year;
contribute ideas regarding applications to funds;
As a board member, you have a say in the direction of Wageningen Inclusief.
Who are we looking for?
You are good with numbers and accurate. An accounting education is not required. You want to contribute to a Wageningen for everyone. You are welcome with or without a disability.
What do we offer?
A committed team that helps each other.
Work that matters: every euro put to good use helps remove a barrier.
Experience on a board.
Coffee at our coffee morning, every first Tuesday of the month at Brownies & Downies.
Time investment
About 4 to 6 hours per month. A bit more at the beginning and around the annual accounts.
Where and when
Mostly from home, at your own times. Occasional consultations with the board in Wageningen.
Accessibility
Working at your own pace and from home is possible. Let us know what you need, and we'll be happy to help find a solution.

About Wageningen inclusief
Wageningen Inclusive
We want everyone to be able to participate in Wageningen. Whether you are in a wheelchair, have poor eyesight, or struggle with forms.
We are a group of committed residents. We pay attention to what can be improved in the city. And we tell the municipality about it.
We have been working for eight years. We have a small core group and twenty people who help out.
What do we do?
We walk through the city and see what is wrong. A sidewalk that is too narrow. A counter that is too high. A form that no one understands. We report this to the municipality.
We also give lessons at schools. And we organize tours through the city, where people in wheelchairs experience for themselves what needs to be improved.
What do we want to achieve?
A Wageningen where everyone can simply lead their own life. Not because they have to. But because that is how it should be.
