The Chairperson is tasked with coordinating the WAC team and is the primary point of contact. Together with the team, provides direction and substance to the WAC objectives.
As a WAC volunteer, you find it important that people in Wageningen live comfortably and feel safe and at home.
- You have knowledge of or an affinity with construction or housing.
- You can empathize with the housing needs of residents
- You are interested in architecture and urban planning
- You are willing to take a 2-day course on 'reading drawings and advising'.
- You are available for an average of a few half-days per month, partly also in the evening hours.
- You are willing to commit to the WAC for at least one term of four years.
To ensure the WAC organization functions effectively, we have a number of focus areas in addition to the basic tasks. These include board duties, but also communication, COW membership, regional cooperation, knowledge network, etc.
CHAIR
- General coordinating role within the WAC
- Chairing the meetings of both the board and the committee
- Preparing the meetings together with the secretary
- Writing the foreword in the annual report
- Maintaining external contacts, and
- Maintaining the resignation schedule
